  My search for an architect turned out extremely well when my wife and I found Michael Kolchins. After interviewing several other architects and builders, we were impressed with his portfolio of completed projects. He showed us several beautiful and well thought out designs. However, as with any new venture, we were naturally apprehensive. Was he going to be patient as we vacillated over his designs? Would he listen to what we wanted? Would he incorporate our ideas or logically explain why we should consider other options? Most importantly, as the house designs unfolded—and there were several—how receptive would he be to revisions? As we progressed through the many iterations (many of these were precipitated by our not being sure what we wanted) all our questions were answered in very positive terms. He listened, was patient, and made sure we were COMPLETELY satisfied before his design phase ended. As an added bonus—after the house plans were finalized he willingly talked to our builder about possible alternative building options. Michael is not only talented, knowledgeable and
  creative, he was a pleasure to work with. We recommend him highly.
